"YOU ARE PART OF GOD'S PERFECT PLAN"

God planned the smallest detail on the day He formed the Earth, and just as carefully, He planned each detail of your birth.  He knew the color of your eyes, the texture of your hair, the circumstances of your days, each how and when and where.

And God has had a perfect plan from all eternity. To touch the lives of others through the lives of you and me.  He blesses us and fills us with a joy beyond all measure.  For He considers each of us a rare and priceless treasure.

Psalm 106:1  PRAISE THE LORD! Oh give thanks to The Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever!

From an NPA to a HOME

I was away for almost seven years. I've focused my life and dedication to my work and eager to achieve my goal of being a Permanent Residents in this beautiful City of Vancouver.  I've encounted so many challenges in life...personal, physical and spiritual.  Being an Overseas Contract Worker is not easy...away from your loved ones, far from your Country and above all alone in this place, but I need to be brave to face trials and tribulations coming in my life just to survive.  Prayer is my weapon and God is my protector.  I''m so happy to tell you that I am not an NPA (No Permanent Address) anymore 😃 I am happily married now and have a place that I called it HOME.

LEARNING TO TALK, TRUST AND FEEL

Many of us who were hurt in the past learned three rules: Don't talk, don't trust and don't feel. As children, we learned to keep secrets, to feel shame and to mistrust. These unwritten rules keep us stuck as adults and prevent others from getting close to us. Sometimes we give or love too much in atonement for our inability to let others close to us.

The only way out of this unhealthy cycle is to break the three rules by talking, trusting and feeling. We can talk with someone with whom we feel safe, a counselor or friend. We can talk to ourselves by writing our feelings in a journal or talking them out on a tape recorder. We can build trust by learning to trust ourselves first and by feeling our frozen feelings we have kept inside for so long. As we open up and let go, we begin to talk, trust and feel and are blessed with rich and meaningful relationships.

Breaking the three rules of don't talk, don't trust and don't feel by talking, trusting and feeling frees us of an unhealthy past and brings us rich and meaningful relationships.

ACHIEVING SERENITY

When things don't go our way, it naturally hurts and disappoints us. We may scream and rant and rave. We may even stomp our feet and throw things, like children who don't get their way.

Life runs more smoothly when we accept it as it is, rather than try to make it the way we want. We cannot change the world to fit our whims but we can change how we respond to disappointments by maturely accepting and making the best of them. Trying to change people and situations to meet our terms is time better spent accepting situations as they are.

Being courageous to change those parts of our lives that are changeable and accepting things as they are is the first step to serenity. We can accept the things we cannot change, ask for courage to change the things we can and for wisdom to know the difference between the two.

We can achieve serenity by accepting the things we cannot change, asking for courage to change the things we can and asking for wisdom to know the difference between the two.

HAVE A NICE DAY!!!

THE BEST E-MAIL OF THE YEAR

A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed: "Dear Lord: I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her body to switch with mine for a day. Amen." God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish. The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the checkbook. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1 p.m. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and map the kitchen floor.

Run to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the chicken and snapped fresh beans for super. After supper, he cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. . . at 9 p.m. he was exhausted and though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.

The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said: Lord, I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, LET US TRADE BACK. The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied: "My son, I feel you have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were.

You'll just have to wait nine months, though YOU GOT PREGNANT LAST NIGHT."

Clay Ball

A man was exploring caves by the seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas of bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake.

They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could.

He thought little about it, until he dropped one of the clay balls, and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone!

Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left. Then it struck him. He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands, but he had just thrown it away!

It's like that with people. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling, so we discount it. We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy, but we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person.

There is a treasure in each and every one of us. If we take the time to get to know that person, and if we ask God to show us that person the way He sees him, then the clay begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.

May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay.

May we see the people in our world as God sees them. I am so blessed by the gems of friendship I have with each of you. Thank you for looking beyond my clay vessel.

The Road to Success

The Road to success is not straight
There is a curve called failure
A loop called confusion
Speed bumps called friends
Red lights called enemies
Caution lights called family
You will have flats called jobs,
But, if you have a spare called determination
An engine called perseverance
Insurance called faith
A driver called God
You will make it to a place called Success!
